I’m a creative, ambitious and highly meticulous designer with over 11 years’ Graphic Design experience working across a multitude of businesses. Not afraid to work autonomously or as part of a team, my experience has helped to hone my creative skills, enabling me to add maximum value whilst working at pace to deliver high quality work to any project I embark upon. I take pride in my work and value building strong relationships with colleagues to bring out the best in every creative challenge.

MY EXPERIENCE

After graduating university with a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design, my professional journey began at LWV Printworks. Here, I dedicated my efforts to crafting visually compelling pub and restaurant menus for establishments nationwide. From here I extended my expertise to collaborate with a diverse range of SMEs and larger enterprises from bathrooms and tiles to outdoor furniture and commercial kitchen appliances.

Over the years, my skill set has evolved and diversified, encompassing a spectrum of disciplines such as designing web banners, crafting email marketing templates, and producing tangible assets like hard copy catalogues and store point-of-sale materials. Each project has contributed to my growth as a versatile and adept graphic designer.

Freelance

FREELANCE DESIGNER | MAY 2023 - PRESENT

In my freelance graphic design work, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of clients, each with its unique brand identity and style. This experience has allowed me to navigate and adapt to various brand aesthetics, tailoring my designs to align seamlessly with their vision. Whether crafting eye-catching visuals, refining brand logos, or developing cohesive brand guidelines, I've honed my skills in understanding and translating the distinct personalities of different brands into compelling and visually appealing designs. This dynamic journey has not only enhanced my versatility as a designer but also deepened my appreciation for the richness and diversity within the graphic design landscape.

Rattan Direct

GRAPHIC DESIGNER | MAR 2019 - MAY 2023

In this diverse role, I revamped the brand's visual identity, collaborated on website enhancements, and created a range of marketing materials. Venturing into email marketing, I drove 22% of the company's website revenue, achieving a +400% YoY growth. With successful automated campaigns contributing 23% to email revenue. After Zmags was introduced, I created a high-value Buyers' Guide dynamic page, spotlighted in Zmags' Best Website Use Cases Webinar. This journey reflects my commitment to innovation, strategic thinking, and impactful results in brand development and digital marketing.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Brand Guardian

• Developing monthly campaign themes to be used across various platforms such as homepage banners, email, social media, store POS etc.

• Web page design

• Email marketing - planning, designing, building, scheduling and tracking

• Planning and helping in photoshoots

• Ad-hoc internal and external designs such as business cards, posters, announcements, photo editing/retouching, icons etc.

MY BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENTS

• Expanded role to include email marketing using Mailchimp and Klaviyo, driving 22% of the company's overall website revenue through these campaigns (Feb 2023).

• Grew email marketing revenue contribution by +400% YoY.

• Increasing email OR% from 9% to 47-58% and CR% from 0.04 to 2.9% for ad-hoc campaign sends.

• Created a Buyers’ Guide dynamic page which was featured in Zmags’ own Best Website Use Cases Webinar and currently has the highest Page Value of the entire website.

• Adopted and updated current brand colours and logo to create brand guidelines suitable for target audience.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER | SEP 2014 - MAR 2019

In this role, I specialised in producing diverse creative assets for both print and digital platforms. As the sole designer, I managed the entire creative process, fostering effective communication with external agencies and printers. My responsibilities included designing catalogues, web elements, in-store POS, signage, email marketing visuals, and press ads. Collaborating closely with various departments such as E-commerce, CRO & UX, Digital Marketing, Purchasing, and HR, I ensured seamless internal and external communication and the delivery of impactful creative assets.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planned and updated various store signage, tickets, uniform, vehicle graphics etc

• Creating internal monthly interactive newsletters, posters and advertisements for events, announcements and socials

• Planned and created design material for 4 new large showrooms across the UK (whilst maintaining 8 current stores)

This role provided a robust foundation in the design industry, fostering the development of essential skills in software proficiency, time management, and client relations. As the primary responsibilities, I engaged in client communication and designed a diverse range of print advertisements for pub companies, including menus, posters, logos, and brand bibles for new restaurants. The dynamic nature of each brief presented unique creative challenges that I thoroughly enjoyed tackling.
