CV
Below you’ll find a snapshot of my design career so far showing where I’ve been, what I’ve worked on and how my style’s evolved along the way.
In a Nutshell…
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, I began my career designing menus and POS for pubs and restaurants across the UK. Since then, I’ve worked with clients across all sorts of industries including: interiors, jewellery, flooring, and retail. I’ve loved the variety and each role has pushed me to flex my creativity in new ways and taught me to adapt quickly to different styles.
My work covers both print and digital from email campaigns, social content and web design to catalogues, packaging and store material. Every project is an opportunity to tell a story visually and I love finding creative ways to make each brand stand out.
Outside of design, I’m happiest when I’m making things with my hands. Whether that’s knitting, weaving, or spinning yarn to pottery, jewellery making or sewing. I also love reading and heading out for a good walk to clear my head.
Freelance
MAY 2023 - PRESENT
As a freelance Graphic Designer, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with all sorts of clients. Each with their own personality and style. It’s taught me how to adapt to different brands and bring their vision to life through design. From creating eye-catching visuals and refining logos to producing cohesive assets like marketing materials and social content, I’ve learnt how to capture what makes each business unique.
Working with such a variety of clients has made me a more flexible designer and reminded me just how much I enjoy the creative challenge that comes with every new project.
Connection Retail
FEBRUARY 2024 - PRESENT
As a Graphic Designer at Connection Retail Ltd, I work across multiple in-house brands, delivering creative solutions that align with each brand’s unique style and audience. My work covers both digital and print, including monthly promotional campaigns, social content, email marketing, and web assets.
Alongside this, I play an active role in store design such as creating floor plans, layouts and in-store POS to support new store openings nationwide. This mix of creative marketing and spatial design allows me to combine visual storytelling with practical problem-solving, ensuring every design works seamlessly both online and in-store.

“We use Amy's graphic design wizardry across all platforms. I cannot stress enough how much I would recommend her. She has a knack of taking an idea (which can still be in it's infancy) and turning it into magic before your eyes. It's also rare to find a graphic designer who feels present in meetings, and knows exactly what they need to do to get the job done with minimal coaching. If you have a chance to work with Amy, you won't regret it!”
ANDREW WILKINSON - ECOMMERCE MANAGER at ECATERING (Freelance)

She has grown email marketing at Rattan Direct into a key revenue generation channel for the brand. I can trust Amy with a great deal of responsibility and she always performs, always understands her figures and always has strong recommendations for optimisation.”
HANNAH BOUCHER - BRAND & CONTENT MANAGER at RATTAN DIRECT
“Amy is a talented all round designer and art worker. I had the pleasure of working with Amy for a year where she managed high work loads across Point Of Sale, Press, Advertising, Internal Communications and Company Brochures.
Amy has adaptable talent and manages her work load well, with great consideration to the brief and a creative eye to exceed expectations. I would highly recommend Amy.”
JULES SMITH - MARKETING MANAGER at BETTER BATHROOMS
“Amy undertook a review of SevenYays' email campaigns last year. She possesses a rare blend of skills - the ability to analyse and optimise email automations, and the creative flair and design skills to make those emails look aesthetically great. She's collaborative and easy to work with. Definitely recommended and I would have no hesitation to work together again in the future.”
