HELLO
I’m a graphic designer with over a decade of experience working in fast paced, agile businesses. During my time as a Graphic Designer, both in-house and freelance, I have created a wide range of printed materials, such as; brochures, catalogues, flyers, showroom POS, van graphics, uniforms, magazine and newspaper advertising, and menus.
I have worked closely with printers and suppliers to ensure that the final product meets our high standards of quality and professionalism.
Please take a look below to see some examples of my previous print work.
PROMO CAMPAIGNS
A significant part of my work involves designing and implementing monthly promotional themes fro various companies. My primary focus is on creating visually appealing designs for website homepages, which needs to be adaptable across other medias and platforms, including email, social media, affiliates, pop-ups, thumbnails, store POS and leaflets.
I work closely with the marketing team to conceptualise and create compelling visual designs that align with the brand's overall vision and promotional themes. I also ensure that the designs are consistent and align with the brand's visual identity across all platforms.
WEB PAGE DESIGN
During my tenure at Rattan Direct and Lifestyle Furniture, I've also redesigned of multiple landing pages, product listing pages (PLPs), and product detail pages (PDPs), as well as other website elements. Using Adobe Suite, I would create mockups of these elements for our developers. However, more recently, I've been utilizing Zmags, a tool that allows me to design and launch entire landing pages myself, without the need for any developer input. This has streamlined the design process and led to faster turnaround times.
I've created a range of dynamic web pages and content blocks using Zmags that have been instrumental in increasing engagement and user interaction on-site. Please take a moment to peruse some of the pages I've crafted below.
BUYERS’ GUIDE PAGE
One of my earliest projects using Zmags was the redesign of our Buyer's Guide page. Previously, the page was just a plain wall of text (as shown in the first image), and despite receiving a lot of visits, it had zero page value.
I decided to revamp the page by taking the information contained within and presenting it in a more engaging and interactive format. The new Buyer's Guide page now offers an informative and immersive experience, complete with visually appealing images and interactive features.
Since its redesign, the page has become one of the highest valued pages across the entire site. In fact, it was even featured in Zmags' Best Website Use Cases Webinar, further highlighting its success. I'm proud to say that the page now boasts one of the highest page values of the entire website.

HOMEPAGE REDESIGNS
Below, you'll find a visual timeline of Rattan Direct’s homepage's evolution. This first image shows how the homepage looked when I joined the business in March 2019. The second image shows the first redesign that we completed in late 2019/2020. The third image shows the latest proposed redesign I put forwards a few months before I left.
These redesigns were the result of meticulous analysis using tools like HotJar for heat maps and GA for link tracking. By researching competitors and identifying what we were missing, we created a comprehensive list of necessary content for the homepage. From there, I crafted wireframes and developed a prototype in MarvelApp to provide a reference point for our developers.

EMAIL MARKETING
For the last 14 months in my role at Rattan Direct, I was entrusted with the responsibility of leading our email marketing efforts. I was responsible for strategising, designing, and executing all of our ad-hoc and automated email campaigns.
Through my efforts, I have been able to significantly improve our email revenue, driving 22% of the company's overall website revenue through campaigns. Additionally, I have also managed to significantly increase our email open rates (OR%) from 9% to an 47-58% and our click-through rates (CR%) from a mere 0.4% to an impressive 2.9%.
Please feel free to take a look at some of my most recent email designs in the slideshow below, which I have personally designed and built in Klaviyo.

Given my past experiences I really enjoy working retail environments, getting involved in the promotional activity and thinking of new ways to present information across different platforms.
This is an industry I am very comfortable working with and have over 10 years previous experience in similar roles.
When I came across the job advertisement for Flooring Superstore, it was lovely to read how the company acknowledges the need for a work life balance through a 4 day working week and flexible hours. This shows me that the company values their staff which is very important to my own values. I believe that this encourages you to buy into the company and values and encourages loyalty.

This is the type of industry I am very comfortable working with and have over 10 years previous experience in similar roles.
I am well experienced in creating campaigns to reflect the brands message across a multitude of platforms. I also have a strong understanding of the different types of assets that are needed for e-commerce and stores. E.g. digital assets, web banners, email, social, POS, leaflets.
As a freelancer and with previous experience with companies with sister brands, I am easily adaptable and can switch between brand styles easily and also to keep the brand consistent as I go along.
In my previous role at Rattan Direct/Lifestyle Furniture, I was involved in a large range of projects which helped me adapt to working solo or as part of a team. This ranged from creating and scheduling email marketing plans, giving feedback on new products to arranging and taking part in product photoshoots.
I have worked with fast paced businesses and learnt how to produce assets with very tight deadlines, handling multiple projects at once and liaising with other departments.
I believe I can bring a lot of value to the team and the business. I am creative, loyal, dedicated and considerate employee. I come across as quite shy, but I love to get involved with projects and make connections with other team members.

Quick worker - I am experienced in working in fast paced businesses and turning around large and small projects with little to no notice.
Adaptable - I am happy cracking on with projects on my own or chipping in with a team. With previous experience with companies with multiple brands (and as part of being a freelancer) I am able to easily adjust between brand styles and keep things looking consitant across multiple platforms.
Organised - With experience with working in fast paced environments, It has been extremely important to keep myself organised and to keep track of multiple projects coming from different departments. I do this through platforms used as Trello, Asana, Teams etc.
Determined - I am always determined to do better each time, analyse results, learn from mistakes and see where I can improve next time. (This also becomes a weakness as I can be over critical)
-
Confidence - Both professional and personally I can struggle with my confidence, the ability to sell myself and believe in my work.
Perfectionist - This may be a cheesy one, but what I mean by this is that I can get a bit frustrated with myself when I can’t get to a point where I want to be as quickly as I want to be.
I can be an overthinker
